Another great stay at Hotel Parmani!
I found Hotel Parmani a few years ago when I was being seen by a medical doctor at Stanford. Now we make the hotel our preferred place to stay in Palo Alto when we are in town for a doctor's visit. So much about me on to the review. When my wife and I stayed there the first time the room was clean and had plenty of bath linens. The exterior give you an impression of an older hotel/motel, but the interior is modern and comfortable. The front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. They make an extra effort to make your stay a god one. The housekeeping staff are also friendly and make an extra effort to see your needs are taken care off. Recently (March 2020). I held reservations, due to the coronavirus I had to cancel those reservations and there were no issues. As soon as the virus clears out I will be back

We stay at this excellent hotel every time we're in the area
I've stayed at Hotel Parmani every time I need a hotel near the Stanford campus for the last 5 years. My daughter's and my sister's families also stay there when in the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable and good-sized. I have a bad back - a fairly firm mattress is a deal-breaker. My wife doesn't have a bad back. We've never asked for a special rooms or beds and have always slept comfortably. On this trip, I learned that the hotel is family owned and operated for over 30 years. Front desk and housekeeping staff have always been welcoming, friendly. The rooms have coffee-makers and coffee for 2 cups; we asked housekeeping for and got extra coffee. A mini-refrigerator and hair-dryer are also in the rooms; there's onsite parking. The price is very reasonable. You could easily pay far more in the area and get nothing more. I highly recommend Hotel Parmani

Okay it's not the Ritz, it's not even a Holiday Inn, but it worked for me for the two night I needed to be in Palo Alto, while my husband was in the hospital. Weekend rates are reasonable, should be the rate every night. BUT not. Weekday rates are high. Breakfast is very light. The best item for breakfast is they serve "Peet's" coffee. Yummy, my favorite. Rooms are large. They didn't have a single room left when I got there, so I got two queen beds, double room and it was huge. Make sure you check the rates online. They do offer AAA rates, I saved $10.00 a night. Microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board in room. Starbucks coffee in room, and Neutrogena soap in bathroom. Clean, but old motel

Close to Stanford University
The owner has clearly tried to take an older motel and renovate it. Even though it's showing its age, the motel appears to have a relatively fresh paint job inside and out. We enjoyed the two-room suite (with a queen bed in each) that we had reserved. The air conditioning units are old, but they cooled the room effectively. Plus, they help mask any road noise from El Camino Real, which is a pretty busy street. The room had a little kitchenette, with a microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee maker with packets of Starbucks coffee. A light continental breakfast is served in the office, and you can bring it up to your room. The bathroom had a nice shower head with multiple spray settings, and a curved shower rod for more space. The tiles were upgraded. Neutrogena-branded toiletry products are provided. The toilet seat probably could use replacement, and the exhaust fan did not work. The towels were a bit old, but clean. The lamps by the sides of the beds had outlets in their bases - very useful for plugging in your phone charger. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the televisions came with free HBO. Overall, I'd say this was a fair value in comparison to other, pricier hotels in the area. The motel is conveniently located within a short drive from Stanford University, and it's practically next door to one of my favorite area restaurants - The Fish Market

Very nice check-in experience. Clean room and fairly quiet considering the location on a very busy main street of Palo Alto. Would stay here again. Convenient location. Close to many restaurants, freeway and shopping center
