One of the most revered and world-renowned universities in the United States is just 2 miles from Hotel Parmani. Connected by the free Stanford Marguerite shuttle at California Avenue, our boutique property is a short ride from campus. In addition to academics, Stanford University also hosts a rich athletic program, the picturesque Rodin Sculpture Garden, home of "The Thinker," as well as Cantor Arts Center, and Taube Tennis Center, where the weeklong Bank of the West Classic is held annually.

Campus Tours

FREE student-guided walking tours are offered daily at 11am and 3:15pm. They last 70 minutes. Departing from the Visitor Center, major sights include The Main Quad, Memorial Church, Science & Engineering Quad, and White Plaza.
 

Public transportation

As a Palo Alto institution, all roads lead to Stanford. The easiest way to get to campus from Hotel Parmani is The Stanford Marguerite, a free local shuttle with stops throughout downtown, including California Avenue, just ½ a mile away.

  • What food is available near the Rodin Gardens?

    Cool Café is a local eatery overlooking the picturesque scenery of the Sculpture Garden and Cantor Arts Center. With student art on display, the seasonal menu offers a delectable array of fresh sandwiches, soups, salads, wine, and beer. Outdoor seating is also available.

  • What is the photography policy at the Cantor Arts Center?

    Personal, non-commercial photography is permitted. Wedding photography is prohibited, as is photography in changing-exhibition galleries, and of works on loan. Flash is allowed, but tripods are not. Visitors are invited to post pictures of their visit to the Cantor Arts Center Flickr Group.
